• BDS SUSPENSION – It goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway – BDS, a great MICHIGAN company we can say, is our suspension lift choice for this project.  We are going with there 5.5″ 4-link with all the trimmings – Fox shocks, dual Fox steering stabilizers, adjustable track bar, brake lines and more!  This premium suspension package will be installed by the one and only – Mumbly’s Off Road.

• IRON CROSS AUTOMOTIVE – Iron Cross is an industry icon with their high-quality bumpers seen on all the top vehicles across America and the world.  A great company because of great people who know their product and are eager to assist and answer any questions we had.  We chose Iron Cross for both our front winch-capable bumper and also our rear bumper.

• AMP RESEARCH – One of the challenges of having a heavy duty truck is it’s greater stock clearance height.  When you add a hardcore suspension and increase tire size several inches you end up with something you need a small ladder to climb into.  Traditional nerf bars, steps, etc. do assist with this but usually not enough and then an entirely new problem is created – you now have reduced the clearances you just created with the lift system and your truck looks lower.  Enter the only option (and it is a GREAT one) – AMP Research’s PowerStep XL for lifted trucks.  The automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and then hides itself safely out of sight when the doors close for improved ground clearance, aerodynamics and appearance. Its handsome design, all-weather performance and legendary reliability set the industry standard. Ditto its industry-leading 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.

• BED RUG – The Bed Rug is an innovative product that we were initially leery of.  All of the guys in the shop were used to the traditional hard plastic drop-in liners and more recently spray in liners which we all had used for years.  I actually bought a Bed Rug for my last truck and put it through the paces of typical Michigan truck ownership – rustic camping, firewood hauling, fishing trips, furniture, moving family/friends and naturally tailgating.  The Bed Rug excelled in all areas durable, easy to clean and very comfortable to sit or sleep on during some of those trips.  For these reasons it was a no-brainer for our Motor City’s Ultimate Ram Project.  Visit their website and do some research of your own.  They look awesome and hold up tremendously well.

• HI-LIFT JACK CO. – There are knock-offs but truly there is only one jack company – Hi-Lift.  Over 100-years old and owned by the same family!  Talk about a great American company.  In all of these decades Hi-Lift has perfected the jack for applications such as ours.  They have many models to choose from based on the job and deliver a superior product at an affordable price point.  We chose Hi-Lift for all of our previous truck and jeep builds and naturally we’ll be having them as part of this Ram project too.

• HUSKY LINERS – Husky Liners branded custom fit floor and cargo liners, heavy duty floor mats, custom molded mud guards, aluminum accessories (including contractor’s racks, sunshades and fifth wheel flow-thru tailgates) and various other products. to serve the aftermarket.  We’ve personally used Husky for nearly 20-years.  They do the job, hold up forever and are cool lookin’!

• MOTOALLIANCE – We have a massive Viper winch for mounting on our Iron Cross front bumper.  MotoAlliance is a full-service powersports company with headquarters just outside Minneapolis, MN.  They develop high-quality powersports accessories at prices people can actually afford — and then provide top-notch support and service throughout the buying process and beyond.They have developed an incredible series of products, ranging from the rugged VIPER winches and DENALI plows to the blazing FIRESTORM heaters, innovative EVOLUTION bumpers, durable IMPACT implements, and crazy bright SIRIUS lights.

• SOFTOPPER – We will be installing the Softopper on our Ultimate Ram project truck.  Softopper’s folding truck caps replace heavy, fiberglass or metal camper shells and provide cab-high protection that a flat tonneau cover cannot. It can quickly collapse forward out of the way or is easily removed all together to make room for larger loads.

• MHT / FUEL OFF ROAD WHEELS – We chose Fuel Off Road wheels for our last project – the Motor City’s Ultimate Jeep – due to their incredible appearance and durability.  Naturally, when we decided to build a new Ram we gravitated to Fuel once again for their great designs and quality.  We choose the “Throttle” model in 18×10 with a 5″ backspacing.   Fuel Off-road manufactures the most advanced off-road wheels, offering the latest in design and engineering innovations on the market.  Established in 2009 by MHT Luxury Alloys, one of the most trusted and time-tested names in the business, Fuel Off-road has been capturing the attention of off road enthusiasts with our cutting edge designs, fitments, and technological advancements.

• EGR – We’ve successfully run EGR products on several of our past trucks and jeeps.  The fit, installation, durability, longevity and great looks keep us coming back.  We will be installing EGR matte black window vents, hood bug deflector as well as a set of their premium fender flares.

• RECON – With some of the sharpest lighting products in the industry, RECON is a one-stop shop for all of our specialty lighting needs from smoked LED headlights to taillights and everything in-between.  We’ve used them on several of our builds in the past and the Motor City’s Ultimate Ram will soon be lit with RECON.

• DETROIT HOLSTER – Handmade Kydex & leather-hybrid holsters built for a variety of todays most popular handguns.  Providing a tight body-hugging design for maximum concealment. These holsters are lightweight, moisture proof, and carry a limited lifetime warranty. • ALL SALES MANUFACTURING – AMI  creates durable billet eye-candy products for various vehicle components.  We will be installing their matte black locking fuel door cover on our Ram.  We’ve used this product on several of our other vehicle builds and it looks awesome and works great.  It’s always a good idea to slow down the fuel crooks especially with over 30-gallons of petro in the tank.

• THE CLUB – With a classic motor city truck build, we had to include the original name in vehicle anti-theft and security – “The Club” and their Club XL in blue and also a new product – Personal Vault XL for securing items inside the vehicle.

• HYPERTECH –  Hypertech, the world’s leader in high-performance engine tuning products, has released its new Speedometer Calibrator, which recalibrates your speedometer/odometer when using larger non-stock tires or different rear axle ratios. In addition, it reprograms your tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) when using larger replacement tires with tire pressures that differ from the stock tires, a feature unique to Hypertech which separates its Calibrators from any others currently offered by other manufacturers.Hypertech’s Speedometer Calibrators also use a new, larger backlit LCD screen to allow for quick and easy setup, and user-friendly navigation.
